1968-1970 Plymouth GTX Overview

After a year of production, the GTX was given a completely new look in 1968. A new glass body has replaced as the body of 1967. The Road Runner was introduced by Plymouth as a performance version of the Belvedere and have been major changes made to the design of all Plymouth B-bodies.

The engine of the Road Runner was based on the new 383 cu in (6.3 L) "Super Commando" V8 (renamed the "Road Runner 383"), while the high performance 440 was still standard on the GTX. The GTX was still based on satellite and is offered in two models, the 2-door convertible and 2 door hardtop.
