1970 Torino-The 50 Fastest Muscle Cars

Ford Torino was made for the U.S. market between 1968 and 1976 It was produced by Ford Motor Company. The Torino was a mid-size car, but very large by modern standards during its production time. This car replaced the Ford Fairlane, although the name was retained for the base models of the company to trim, different models of Torino. Ford Motor Company chose the Torino as the representative of his NASCAR entry during the time that the car was at its peak.

Even though there were several models released over different years, the Torino 1970 brought a completely changed look with a larger body, a grid of points, with longer lines. The year 1970 saw the Torino being selected as the Motor Trend Car of the Year. It's early name, Falcon, the body was moved to Turin as a low-grade line after the same model was replaced by the 'Maverick'.

However, the name was abandoned in the U.S. after the 1970 model was released. During this time, other models like the 500 Torino, Torino GT, and the new Torino Brougham were also released. The GT and Torino Brougham were the only models to have hidden headlights. The Torino 1971 that was produced was almost identical.

1970 and 1971 were the only years in which Ford produced four-door hardtops, despite conventional sedans were also available. Torino wagons were offered as benefits to the success of Tupperware salespeople. The 1970 Ford Torino was an aggressive and powerful vehicle. Even today, these machines are available and are still as powerful as they were before.
